Naughty Goat Farm's Mobile Coffee Cart
Naughty Goat Farm have available a mobile Coffee Cart that is able to be set up both inside a venue or outside. We can attend sporting events, markets, weddings, corporate functions, parties - in fact anywhere people gather and want a delicious hot and cold drinks.
Our coffee cart is unique in that it is totally portable - it can fit through a standard doorway. So we can go places traditional coffee vendors with vans can't. All we need is access to a power point and a water tap. It has a built in sink, commercial coffee machine, coffee grinder and fridge.
We only use quality Merlo Coffee, quality tea and hot chocolate. Merlo has been voted Australia’s favourite coffee for the second time in a row in the 2014 I Love Food Awards. We also use fresh milk - not UHT milk which seems to be happening with a lot of mobile vendors (because it is easier to store without refrigeration).
Is there a link between Coffee and Goats?
Did you know goats are the reason coffee was first discovered?
In the Ethiopian highlands, where the legend of Kaldi, the goatherd, originated, coffee trees grow today as they have for centuries. Though we will never know with certainty, there probably is some truth to the Kaldi legend.
It is said that he discovered coffee after noticing that his goats, upon eating berries from a certain tree, became so spirited that they did not want to sleep at night.
Kaldi dutifully reported his findings to the abbot of the local monastery who made a drink with the berries and discovered that it kept him alert for the long hours of evening prayer. Soon the abbot had shared his discovery with the other monks at the monastery, and ever so slowly knowledge of the energizing effects of the berries began to spread. As word moved east and coffee reached the Arabian peninsula, it began a journey which would spread its reputation across the globe.
Used Coffee Grounds?
At Naughty Goat Farm nothing goes to waste. All the used coffee grounds are used as food for our worm farm - and the resulting worm castings are then used to feed our vegetable gardens.
